I own a pair of KEF Reference Series 205s, each of which is equipped with the UNI-Q/ Hypertweeter. I have owned these for 4 years (bought them new) and have always wondered about the UNI-Q/ Hypertweeter units because they emit very little sound. Should they?
Thanks. |

Ok, the crossover for the EHF is 4th order, 24dB per octave.
The crossover point is quite rightly quite high at 15kHz.
I'd not expect the hypertweeter to be working very hard in that case, so it it is probably right.
Also interestingly there are minor but important differences in the EHF section between the Q Ref models. (Hmm).
As well as noted changes in the American export version which I'd expect to sound a little brighter.
Now, which one is the most accurate? |
