I read of the Linn Isobarik a while back
2 systems
1.
2 X B139 the so called Isobarik Passive or for big wallets the ACTIVE with Naim Amps.
2.
Linn Sara 2 x original B200's with scanspeak dome tweeter
Linn made great claims for Isobarik and it seemed on the surface magic
Reality is its all a nonsense Isobarik = 2 drivers Q same as one driver but with 1/2 VAS so for a moderate box it gives a little more bass extension of course with 2 tandem bass drivers more power handling but yes at 4 ohms but nothing like the Linn claims for the Mystic IsoBarik ... real Hype
but what would you expect from Linn. |

I heard them on many occasions, even at NAIM in Salisbury.
I loved them as did Julian. Fantastic speakers, not perfect but which are? |

Theory!
I have this theory. The less you know the better it works!
On paper I would almost agree with our fine learned anipodean friend.
Sadly it all falls to pieces once you listen to them...
This folks is my life story. |
