I'm sure that if anyone can do it Falcon can, especially with the help of Malcolm Jones, which gives them an edge that no other manufacturer would have save maybe Harbeth or Derek Hughes perhaps.
However, taking NOTHING away from Falcon, who are to be warmly congratulated in continuing this tradition, I think the BBC license is not what it was in the days when they actually led the world in technical expertise of speakers, fm, and digital etc.
Nowadays the brand is sold by accountants, a trend started with the LS 5/12 which was not designed in house, never liked, and licensed by an accountant with his eye on the cash register post 3/5a. |
