I recently picked up a nice pair of Linn. they are not speakers but a pre and power amp. there seems to be much discussion around the Linn speakers(as they use kef drivers) and the Linn turntables, but little about these LK units.

they come a little too late for me to use with my vintage kef( have sold the 104ab and concerto) but I still have my Radfords S90 TL speakers.

I've just gotten the Linn so have only played it briefly but so far it sounds very nice with some yamaha NS-625...maybe a little bass shy, but perhaps I am spoiled from the Radfords.

Does anyone here use Linn amplification?

I'd mentioned I thought that the Linn with the 625 were a little bass shy. today I hooked the Linn up with a larger set of yamaha, a pair of NS-670 and I've changed my mind. there is ample bass and it is nice an tight.

the 625 are a two way with 8" woofer and are 4 ohm

the 670 are a 3 way with a 10" woofer and are 8 ohm.
