Hi All, my first post so be gentle
Just collected some R40's from ebay and wanted some advice please.
Plugged them in and checked all the drivers are working, they all put out sound.
They need the vertical slat grilles off for a good clean, I can see one of the TL exit holes has foam showing, one does not? This could be effecting the bass output?
The speaker terminals need replacing, so I can use modern cables.
What should I do next, I can see a recap or crossover replacement on the horizon?
I had a very quick listen, thought the highs/mids were a bit bright and the bass a little light. They are sat on the floor without stands, is that how they originally came?
What would you recommend?
Many thanks
