Excellent job, well done!
I enjoyed the tour! _________________ I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a

I am sure I remember these when they turned up on our local (NZ) auction site. You have made a remarkable transformation. Well done. |

Great job indeed. What did you do to clean/freshen-up the supertweeters.
Having a chemical dome it seems to me you can't just use any detergent or solvent on them. |

Hi Craig,
yes you are right it was about over a year now when I went to pick them up. They were in such a messed up state, one of my friends said to me , you are not going to take this pile of... into your house...
I then hooked them up and the sound was good, not fantastic but good.
Decided they were to be done up.
It took me a while to find a suitable walnut veneer. Since they were water damaged, I had to redo quite a lot of wood work panels. That was hard as I had to keep everything else intact.
lots of filler to make everything straight, then veneering , painting the front, and finally lacquering.
Xover is using solen on hi and mid and elcap on bass.
I am waiting to source a mp3 xover, and same as my 105s recap in clarity cap.
Take care

Thanks man,
tiny bit of mineral turps to get rid of the old contact glue yellow residue.
Then i sanded the little black covers,
painted, and then glued them on
Luckily I have 5 more hf2000 if anything ever happens
