CANTATA CHANGEOVER ? Hi, Is anyone familiar using sp-1054 and t-27 in cantata boxes with dn-18 crossovers? I could add a passive bd139 to act as a bass port. I have all this except the t-27's. Falcon Acoustics T-27's? Thank you, Keith _________________ grayyyt |

B200 SP1054 + T27 with a passive BD139 give you the essentials for a KEF Calinda. Although the Calinda is a smaller box compared to the Cantata box.
DN18 is the proper crossover for the Corelli, which - if my information is correct, it using B200 SP1063.
Since all these are two way speakers, the crossover has a single pole to link the woofer to the tweeter. And if the tweeter remains the same and the woofer is more-or less the same (20cm) I would guess that any of the relevant crossovers would perform decently.
If that is what you have, then go ahead by all means. I would aim to find the Calinda crossover as it has the "technology" of the 104ab (namely the ab part) so it might perform better in the midrange/tweeter crossover range. |
